THE  ALPHA COURSE

 WHAT IS ALPHA?
The Alpha Course is for anyone interested in exploring the meaning of life and discovering the relevance of the Christian faith.

We share nibbles and drinks together at the beginning of each session, giving an opportunity to get to know each other. This is followed by a talk on DVD that leads into small group discussions.
An important part of the Alpha course is the chance to share our thoughts and ideas on the topic, confidentially in a small group. There's no obligation to say anything but it is an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open atmosphere.

There will be a separate small stream for young people facilitated by the Parish youth worker Emma Rayment. Please indicate your age when applying to join this group.
WHY DO ALPHA?

People come on the Alpha course for many different reasons; some have never been to church and want to investigate whether God exists, others may be regular Mass goers and want to further explore the relevance of the Christian faith to their daily lives. We can listen, learn, discuss and discover together. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
